Splish Splash Birthday Party Ideas

Back in April I helped a friend do up a birthday party for her two children.

My friend is on strict bed rest (she's expecting her 3rd child) and so I offered to help her throw a party for her four year old son and two year old daughter.  Since her little ones birthdays are only about a month apart, she decided to combine the parties.

We decided to go with a beach theme party and I designed the

. The party turned out to be super cute and it was so fun to do.

Today, I'm going to share the party detail photos with you all.

We ended up having the party at my house, so this is in my front entrance.

I used some sailboats that I have as room decor in my boys bedroom and incorporated those into the party.

The Snack Bar

The snack bar banner is part of the

printable set

.

as are most of the printables you see in this post.

Silverware Wrappers placed in Target tins, a little burlap wrapped around the bucket and a life saver as a life preserver.

Dollar Tree sand buckets for the food table and Target sand shovels as the scooper.

Target Tins, Dollar Tree Plates & Dollar Tree Plastic Scoopers

 The Cupcakes

We used gummy whales, fish and starfish candy to top the cupcakes.

and the party circle tags as cupcake toppers (also part of the printable set.)

The Drink Station

 Water Bottles

These labels are part of the splish splash printable set.

I hung the Keep Calm sign (also part of the printable set) on the snack bar.

 The Table Setting

The "small" kids table in the house.

We bought a few goldfish and gave them away as prizes.

The kids LOVED the goldfish!

The "big" kids table set up in the garage.

The Party Favors

The "bigger" kids got little silver buckets (from the dollar section in Target) with candy in them.

The "smaller" kiddos got sand buckets (from the Dollar Tree) filled with all kinds of goodies.

wrapped in burlap, twine and a label.

The boys got blue buckets

and the girls got orange buckets.

The Gift Opening Station

I had these little plastic Adirondack chairs outside, so I just washed them up and brought them inside.

and added some black and white beach photo's of the birthday kiddo's across the fireplace.

The gifts I made for her two little ones

Using Target and Dollar Tree beach and outdoor items I made some gift baskets.

This one is more boyish.

and this one is a little more girlie.

The printables to create this party can be found in my shop:
