Thrift Store Dining Table Makeover

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a before and after of a piece of furniture that I’ve painted.

If you haven’t seen any of the painted pieces that I’ve done before, you can CLICK HERE to see them.

Today I wanted to share a dining room table that I refinished a bit ago. This piece sold shortly after I finished it.

Here’s the before:

A friend of mine found this piece at a thrift shop and she contacted me. I went and picked it up immediately.

I used Farmhouse paint on this piece. Farmhouse paint is my go to for painting furniture. I love it and highly suggest it to everyone. You can find it HERE.

I painted the bottom of this table in cotton white and painted the top black. You can view all the photos of the finished piece below:

Anytime I paint over a table or a top that will be used often, I like to add a couple of coats of polycrylic to the top. You can see what I suggest using in my Amazon Store front. With this particular paint, you don’t have to use any top coat, but if it’s a piece that will be used often (like a table) I like to add the extra layer of protection.

My favorite is the clear matte polycyclic:

Here’s another look at the before and after side by side photos of this piece:

May you be a little inspired.

Until Next Time,

DaNita
